Starting on 24 August/ 2021, the Law 66/2021 states that travellers can enjoy a 48-hour stay when visiting any municipality across the nation. There are a few exceptions though.
Wild camping remains prohibited on land belonging to the Natura 2000 reserve network, protected areas and areas covered by Coastal Development Plans. The fines for disobeying such rules can go between 120 and 600 euros.
